Could you please do me a favor? (I'm sure many of us would be interested)

Is there any way a diamond dealer could post a picture of 2.5 carat antique and/or modern cushion cut diamonds
(one of each color) from left to right in the colors ranging from D, E, F, G, H ?

I need to see the colors side by side to see the comparison...I really think I am color sensitive and do not want to waste my time or the jewelry store's time by pulling in certain colored stones if I won't like them. It will really help.

I was even going to go as far as purchasing a master set that GIA uses, but it's expensive and hey I can put that towards my stone.

If possible, could the picture be in natural daylight - but Shade? It would be EXTREMELY helpful to many people searching for a diamond. I also heard that cushions can show their color easier than a round, so I really have to be sure of the color!!

Thank you so much in advance!!!!!!

I'm not sure if you'll find anyone on here to follow through on this request, so can I suggest contacting Jon at GOG? He may have possibilities in stock as he has a large inventory, plus it might make another good installment in his educational videos. Then the time involved wasn't spent on one potential customer request, but on a wider audience. :))

You are going to be best off going to Tiffany and ask to see Novo cushions of different colors in person.

This video from GOG does it...never linked to a video before, not sure this will work.

You would be better off looking in person, but that may not be practical.

Good find! I had a look around and couldn't spot it - I was somewhat surprised because I thought I remembered having seen one before. :))

Online pictures will be of little use because of monitor calibration, different lighting condition and more. A video is not ideal but better than pictures. Nothing beats comparing all side by side in person though. This is very important to make your decision so I would make the effort to go to a jewellery store that carries many well cut diamonds - HOF, Tiffany, etc.

Agreed .. have to see it in person as the photos and videos just don't do it.

Also, for cushions, the color is really skewed by the cut so you have to evaluate on a case by case basis.

In my recent experimenting with AV stones, there was one I color stone that was perfectly fine and another that was too tinted for me. So there is only one way to judge color, as others have said... with stone in your hands.
