Recently I have been attracted to fashion jewelry (by definition this is trendy and low cost..less than $200) to spruce up an outfit. Has anyone purchased anything from Stella&Dot? I have gotten a little bored with my standard David Yurman cables and wanted to add color.

It seems to be growing in popularity here in Dallas!

TIA.

I received a pair of earrings for a Christmas gift. I haven''t worn them yet (they are ''special occasion'' type earrings and I haven''t had a special occasion!) but they are pretty and seem well made. The packaging was adorable! I don''t know what the price point was. From what little I''ve seen, I would buy more from Stella and Dot.

To me it ends up being about price point. An acquaintance of mine is always pushing Lia Sophia on me. I haven''t bought anything because I think much of that jewelry is more expensive than it is worth. I''d rather buy 1 ''real'' piece than 3 or 4 Lia Sophia pieces.

I''d never heard of them before - but I checked out their website and they have some cute stuff :)

I love Stella & Dot-the quality and value is really above par. In full disclosure, I am a stylist and represent the line but being the jewelry snob that I am, when I first saw their jewelry in person I was hooked and wanted to represent the company. They are trend driven but offer very unique designs that you won''t see on everyone else! If you had questions about a specific piece, feel free to ask me! :)

I''ve never bought anything from them but one of my friends in the DFW area sells it.. She always has it on and her pieces are always so pretty!

The prices seem pretty high for what it is. If I''m dropping $150 on a necklace I''d like for it to at least be sterling silver. I''m sure you could find similar styles at your local boutiques for a lot less.

I have a friend that is a seller for this line.

I thought some of the necklaces were really cute and would be great for about $50 dollars, especially to pair with a cute summer dress or outfit... HOWEVER, I then saw a catalog sitting out, and to be honest, I would never pay upwards of $150-$175 for a necklace from there.

Completely outrageous IMO. I don't spend that kind of money on jewelry that can't be worn everyday.

ETA: Thing2- Ditto.

The jewellery looks fun and funky in the "vintage ecclectic chic" that''s so hip right now.

But, Why would I buy mass-produced stuff like that, when for the same price I could have something unique or custom made from Etsy, out of high quality materials(real gold and silver) and support an artist instead of a corporation?

I strongly dislike the fact that sales-party type organizations don''t pay their employees a minimum wage.

Their stacking rings are pretty inexpensive. I also really like their Priya teardrop earrings and necklace.

So...I bought some earrings. Each pair being under $40. I do agree that some of the pricing is out of line with the product. It''s so cute but trendy and I will not spend $200 on a necklace that I cannot wear next season.

Thanks for the feedback.

S&D is popular right now too in CA...i''ve been to two parties.

i got one of their multi strand necklaces (the one with the silver chains and pearls) and love it so far...

but i think some of the stuff is crazy expensive for what it is. over $100 for costume stuff? you can get the same ''look'' at the stores at the mall for like $40 for a lot of that stuff. some of the more unique pieces though seem worth it. and quality is decent.
