Did anyone ever see ''The Burning Bed'' or ''Small Sacrifices'' ? She really was quite an actress.
I''ve seen this one, and yes, a far cry from how she started out. Impressive.

Rest in peace Farrah.

And I hope it rains in heaven....

I, also, watched some television coverage of her yesterday. I am not sure what I saw, but in the piece Barbara Walters interviewed Ryan O'Neal and Farrah's friend Alanna Stewart; showed film clips of her interviewing Farrah; etcetera. I had not known much about Farrah's life, other than that she was on, "Charlie's Angels" where she emerged as a pin-up girl then that she became a good actress, starring in, "The Burning Bed". I remembered her marriage to and divorce from Lee Major. I was never clear on her relationshop with Ryan O'Neal, although I knew that they had had a romantic liason in the past. I did not know they had a son together, let alone that he had problems.

I was struck by Farrah's sweetness, especially when she discusses wanting to be in love again after her divorce and wanting to have a baby...and also by her having been able to pose for "Playboy" magazine in her 50's!

I am also sure that Ryan O'Neal, who said that she returned to him when she found that he had leukemia eight years ago, loves her. People who knew them said that they were soul mates. He does come across as lacking to me, but wy should we doubt that imperfect people can love as much as they are able to, as much as their capacity allows?

At any rate, I also, found the documentary sad. She has never seemed like anything but a good soul. I am sorry she suffered so much and died so young...and left a son in the condition in which she left Redmond.

As someone who''s seen a family member go through something as intensive and horrible as colorectal cancer, I feel so deeply for Farrah Fawcett...it''s indeed a terrible disease to succomb to. RIP, FF.

Those are the wrong three, Lorelei. Oh! I forgot you are English! In the United States the three celebrities who just died were: Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson. If we were to go all the way back to David Carradine there would be four and the math wouldn't work out.

I just saw a ''breaking news'' headline on CNN that Farrah Fawcett died today. No story yet. So sad. I knew it was bad, but I guess I didn''t realize she was down to absolute last days.
Very sad indeed. Nobody can determine how much time one has remaining..only God knows when your time is up. From my experience doctors can tell you that a patient has little time left (thinking days), and the patient will live for months. On the other hand, a doctor may say patient "X" has months, maybe years, but when the cancer decides to become agressive, a patient''s condition can change overnight! Unfortunately death does not have an ETA! I''m glad Farrah''s death has been acknowledged, it seems MJ''s death has been ALL I hear about on the news, or radio.

Kate Jackson gave this interview and shared this story about Farrah.

She first encountered her at a Hollywood party talking to the then married Six Million Dollar Man actor Lee Majors, who later became Farrah''s first husband.
She said: ''...I was almost blinded by the most gorgeous, magnificent, glorious girl about my age, who was talking and laughing with him.
''I just froze and stared, and I thought to myself, "Oh God, the competition is really bad around here."
''I told her that later when we finally met because we didn’t meet that night - we officially met doing ‘Charlie’s Angels’ - that she was the person that almost made me go home.
''I told her that she was darn lucky that I was still here to do this show because I almost went home because of her, when I saw her I thought, "Oh God, I better go home and, you know, be a teacher or something."’ >>

Farrah was gorgeous, magnificent and glorious. Good description from Kate Jackson and this is how I will always remember her.
