It will be decorated more like this--except the table cloth is plain, and it will have votives instead of tapers. The ivory, black, and red are the colors I like.
I don''t have a photo, but the guys are wearing black tuxes with DARK silver vests and black ties. Their bouts are Red roses. The grooms bout is a white calla lilly.
Thanks everyone for the sweet words. I am super excited, but a little bit nervous suddenly now that the 30 day mark has passed!
Ebree- Steal away. The photo is in several bios on the knot, and I took it from there. I am going to a hair trail Tuesday, and I am SO excited to see how it comes out with my veil and lil head piece.
snlee- a groom''s cake is sort of the same as a wedding cake, only chocolate, and it is more representative of the groom. I have no idea where the trend came from, but it''s apparently gotten pretty big in the south. I wasn''t even sure we would have one, but we are just wanting to offer the second option to our guests.
Anchor and Bee, thanks for the dress comments! I am worried my fiance will be a little disapointed. I think he was expecting something strapless, since a lot of the brides have worn strapless in the weddings we''ve been to recently. Plus, he has made a dozen comments about how he likes my lil strapless dresses that I have been wearing to the weddings...initially that''s what I was going for with my dress search... BUT when I tried this dress on in the store I just didn''t want to take it off... and it was the same way at my first fitting...andat the second one... So, I am hoping he likes it just as well.
Here''s more stuff... all these invitation threads made me remember my invitation. Here it is. I love the square and the little dot details. The color isn''t very good here, but it''s basic Ecru and white. The only problem is that it costs a LOT to mail a square card. Who knew?
