I am looking for a diamond for my engagement ring (half heartedly at this point, I need to know what''s out there before we buy).

The only factors I am certain on (at least I''m pretty sure about) is I want a cushion cut and sized above 1.5cts, 2 would be fantastic, of course pricing would need to be considered.

At any rate, through my searched I found this (totally inspired by catmom''s FLY!)

Thanks for taking the time to read.

There is no picture of the diamond, and I realise I need to see it in person, but I cant help but think it's quite cheap. I have fond similar in a G colour which is double the price, but the girdle woddied me being xthin-xthick. withthe fancym I'd have more to spend on the setting.

Thoughts?

ETA I just spoke to the supplier and it has been treated. Is that normal or is that the reason it's under the $5k mark?

Yup, that''s the reason it''s under 5k. Treated diamonds that have been enhanced through HPHT or other methods are usually less than the price of natural colored ones.

Thanks Kroshka, I had kinda figured that, just needed confirmation. It almost made me feel deflated. Would much rather a natural one. No biggie, will keep looking.

Thanks!
