Hi everyone,
I would like to ask, as I''ve been reading differing POV, how impt is the crown and pavillion angles/depth %''s on fancy shapes such as modified squares? Is the general consensus that the main measurements you should concern yourself with are only the depth and table%''s ??
Cheers in advance!

most fancy shapes can not help much with either % or angle data.

Take a cushion for example -there is about 18 variables you need, and no one has done the work to identify the good and bad ranges.

The best you can do is a pair of trusted expert eyes, next is an ASET and photo and ideal-scope.

Cheers for your reply gary..thats kinda what i thought, but thought I''d just check.
By the way, I apologize for our little disagreement the other week - I had no idea you are also a retailer in the eastern states, so I agree was bad form with hindsight. Pls accept that it was out of ignorance rather than attitude

I do not sell to Pricescopers. I am a resource, not a vendor.

???? Garry Holloways Precious Metals/ Holloway diamonds???

ETA: I understand you come to pricescope as an intellectual resource for others, not a seller. I was simply apologizing for my blunder when I asked you to comment on another melbourne competitor

Like I said, seeing as I didn't know who you are and the technologies you've helped develop..well, that speaks for itself as far as my knowledge of diamonds a couple weeks ago!

Correct.
I am at greater liberty to comment on diamonds on the other side of the earth

I do so without any intention of stealing a sale. But closer to home that independant view point can easily be questioned, so I abstain when that becomes apparent.

If you walk through our door in Cantrerbury or Brighton Honey, you will find a welcome that is hard to compare or find anywhere in the world. I promise.

You can find links here which will give you very good screening tools for fancy shape crown and pavilion percentages when angles are not useful.
Due to the facts of geometry, crown height % and pavilion depth % are angle related and useful for non-round and non-square fancy shape screening.

Phew! I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of visiting Canterbury early Feb to enquire about setting a WF stone, but ended up having WF set it. BUT, I did see some yummy wedding bands that I will be looking at when the ering arrives!!
