Up first The Favorites Family

Not the best photo of all of them, but they are my favorites and they know it lol
From back to front, left to right: Kunzite, sphalerite, tourmaline, amethyst, blue, peridot, spess, sphene, chrome diopside, garnet

And then the whole family came together... I''m not looking forward to putting them all back in their homes

Thanks, it makes me feel like when the goonies get on one eyed willie''s ship lol

but I seriously need to invest in higher quality stones if I want to feel up to snuff here

I really have to thank the forum though for teaching me a lot though.

And it took about 30 minutes to sort and rehome them in their jars.

Those all look pretty good to me! Gorgeous collection

Excellent and really beautiful!

Great looking family!

You have a huge family, and beautiful babies!

Beautiful. All of them!

Lovely, nice family photo!

Davi,
Can you give a brief synopsis of what each stone is per line? Back line to front and left to right (or something similar)? We all started from somewhere, some better than others, some worse than others, as long as we all continue to grow, that''s all that matters.

davi, what a great idea, love the family portrait!

Which one is the black sheep of the family? The slutty one? The intellectual? The numbnuts? High school dropout?

you have a very diverse family! congrats!

I thought about having people guess, but... here we go, left to right row by row:

**I don''t know the true identity to all of them, so I''ll give you what they were sold as, or a description lol**

"Citrine", soft purple stone, Kunzite, Kunzite, "Ametrine"
Kunzite, Aqua, amethyst, pale yellow "quartz", clear topaz, aqua
Smoky quartzes and then an opal in matrix
Smoky quartz, 3 "lemon quartz", 4 smoky quartz, garnet
sphalerite, 4 smoky quartz, blue topaz, clear topaz, blue zircon
2 clear topaz, pink tourmaline, citrine, amethyst, 2 opaque black faceted stones, 3 garnets
2 garnets, "labradorite", "copper bearing" tourmaline, 2 blue stones might be spinel, citrine, some pale blue gray green, 3 rubies treated beyond belief, amethyst
sphene, 3 pale lilac stones, brasilian tourmaline, peridot, spess garnet, peridot, pale lilac stone, garnet
color change diaspore, citrine, mystic topaz, color change sphene, garnet, peridot, chrome diapside, amethyst, 2 pale blue gray green, peridot
melee peridot, melee "tanzanite", melee rubies, and 2 tourmaline pencils on either side

I got what I paid for I suppose, the most expensive stone was the 53ct Cushion cut Kunzite in the back row ($63USD)

I am happy with what I have, but now that I know more about what to actually look for, I''ll be more discerning in my future purchases.

iLander/marcyc/yingh/crasru/lovinggems thank you

StonieGrl lol! the black sheep would be the "labradorite" ie treated by so much stuff it''s barely a rock anymore lol

MZ thanks, diversity really helps when i want to just randomly have jewelry made for my mom
