I''ve got to go buy tioletries for the basket in the ladies bathroom

Hmmmm, we never thought about this. I think that we should discuss that today. It is a very nice touch.

What are you putting in it?

ETA: I love the cork place settings. If you need any extra corks, I bet I create a few between now and Friday night.

I just got a couple of dark wicker baskets about 5X7 in size. It''s taken a lot to fill it. Putting a little card on it that says "just in case" or something like that.

Ha! Well, you know I''m not all there right now. That thread has come excellent ideas. I used the rest of my flex spending account to buy the asprin, antiacids, bandaids, and other stuff. I will wait to get the other items until closer to the date.

THAT''S BRILLIANT! I''m gonna do that too!!!

Stephanie, no worries on the venting. You''ve got time!!! Your wedding is the first week of November right? And you just started a new job wish is stressful in the middle of all of this (I started one a month ago so I can commiserate). But you''ll see it will all come together. And if there''s anything I can do, page me on this board. Even if I don''t see it, someone will hunt me down.

It is worse in your head. MUCH worse. You have time. You do. You can do your trial 3 weeks before your wedding. No worries that you haven''t done it yet. Where are you located, maybe we can find a good MUA to help out.

Using the flex spending was uber easy. I just went into Walgreens and everything that is available for purchase with your flex spending account is marked right on the tag (there''s a little FSA in the corner). I just stocked up because I had about $100 I hadn''t used. FI is now ready for any biking accident that he may have.

Thanks for the uplifting thoughts, Gypsy. There will be tons of polls and questions in the near future. I think that the stress really is this job change. I''m excited about it, but I am leaving my comfort zone. I sat and made a list last night, so that makes me (and my OCD) feel better about where I really stand.

How are you settling into your new job??

GYPSY - I cut a few corks the way you mentioned doing yours, and found that if the cut is too wide, the cards won''t stay in place. So I figured I''d arm myself with a couple of glue guns. Make the cut, dab some glue in the hole, and stick the card. Yanno?

GLUE GUN! That makes sense. It also means someone else has to do that part as the last time I tried to work one of those I ended up in the hospital with 2nd degree burns all over my left hand.

John made me promise to never use one again. How to they look TB?

Stephanie, let me reply to you a little later today. Have some thoughts.

Would glue dots work? No one gets burned...

Okay I am serious slacker!!!

My date is 47 days away and I have almost everything left to do! I''m eloping, so I have a lot less to do than you guys, but I am seriously so behind. So here goes:

Completed:
• FI Booked Honeymoon
• Made appointment with City Hall for Civil Ceremony
• Have both of our wedding bands
• Have my dress
• Have Pashmina shawl to wear with dress
• Have jewelry (only earrings)
• Have a couple of hair accessory options
• Received Passports
• Photographer booked
• Bought Lingerie for Boudoir Shoot

What I still have to do:
• Order flowers to make a bouquet
• Dinner Reservations
• Order Cake
• Get Marriage License (appointment 8/6)
• Shop for FI’s outfit
• Design announcement template so I just need to drop in the pictures and order them
• Order custom return address stamps for announcements (I really need to do this! But it’s been a pain since my new last name will be 10 characters long!)
• Design wedding announcement website
• Book hair and makeup appointment
• Pick a darn pair of shoes already! (have a new pair coming today!)
• Get dress hemmed (Ugh! Waiting on the shoes for this!)
• FI’s Wedding Gifts- Buy Humidor and a few nice cigars, beer opener flip flops, Album for boudoir pics
• Boudoir shoot
• also, get the courage to actually DO the boudoir shoot!

Actually... some of this stuff will be taken care of this weekend, while a lot of things will be completed on 8/6 when I will be in SF for the day. But...Yikes

I''d better get moving!

Haha...I went to art college...I have a DEGREE in glue gun!

I haven''t done them yet, really, because I don''t have the placecards made yet. But I can tell you I will be making them like yours, thanks to your brilliant advice. Mwah! You''re the best!

Only 108 days away. Nothing is done and there is no hope in sight.

Blinky - I love those flowers. I''m using paper pomanders.

Hi Stephanie
35.gif
Oh kewl any pics of your paper things?!

Blinky— OMG! Those flowers look amazing! I’m in absolute AWE. And you’ve lost weight!! Honey you aren’t behind at all. You need to get the invites out, but it sounds like you’ve got that planned. As for the makeup—can you ask a friend or co-worker for help locating someone? YAY on the jewelry! Are there any pics?

35.gif
Hi Gypsy thank u ab the flowers! and thank you for the encouragement! Just got back from the gym.. i have been working soo hard
12.gif

sorry for the delayed response -- worky worky
41.gif

I think I just have to suck it up and pay for the makeup-- i was just hoping to get a better price? one girl i know wants $65 for the trial and then $200.00 for the day of makeup... and it would be just me she is doing
41.gif
.... It''s just confusing-- bec when i used to assist with weddings.. and work 12 hour days... i would get $200.00... and she would just be working for an hour? sigh... i am sounding cheap
38.gif
its just that i also have to pay for hair.. ... ok i''m cheap lol! whaddayya gonna do?

oh on the other note--- here is the thread on my necklace----- i have been collecting stones from ebay... and i def got good deals
28.gif

Oh great idea on the toiletries basket !!! Thank you for the tips on that!
those fans you found are soo cute! I love the first one--good deal too!
2.gif

Good luck with your crafties!

EEk stay away from glue guns!-- can you have you Fi do that part?

Another mini update (I''m being good Gypsy, see?)

Booked the venue, yay!!! http://www.gramercymansion.com/

Now I can relax...wait, I mean we can now get the marriage license lol...

Tomorrow I hope to finally get my dress...I''m praying that it fits well. For those that didn''t see my dress its a 1960s prom dress and it''s here: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/need-some-fairy-dust-for-a-possible-dress.80964/

We chatted with our officiant (the family friend) via email and she gave us a ton of things to think about. She''s going to help us plan the ceremony because we can''t think of anything. I almost feel lame with so many people writing their own vows. I don''t think I could possibly think of anything to say....is that bad?!

Hi Stephanie
35.gif
Oh kewl any pics of your paper things?!
This is my practice one - had to make sure that it would work before I delved into this whole project. So this one looks a bit rough. It''s hanging on the hooks I purchased. Will have four of these and four of the lanterns for my aisle. Plus, I will put more of these around the venue, if I can get them done.
