Wedding Fall Bride Check In

I''m knocking off Zoe''s thread. I''m always tempted to contribute since 9/20 is technically still summer, but I don''t think most people think of it that way.

I''m starting to get a little stressed, because I realized that between now and the wedding, I have 4 weekends off, and the rest I''m working.

I need to figure out when I''m going to get my dress altered. My mom says a friend of hers used to work for a bridal shop and can do it, but I don''t know when I will be able to get together with her.

We''re trying to figure out if and where we''re going to have brunch the day after the wedding. At this point, leaning towards having it catered at my parents'' house and a very limited guest list. Parents have to get moving and look into other spots though before we make a decision. Need to make this decision before I finalize the invitations.

The other stuff is superfluous - the show will go on without it - but it would be nice to have. Veil, programs, paper lanterns, bridesmaid/groomsmen/parent gifts, placecards, shower, chopsticks, rehearsal dinner outfit and honeymoon wardrobe.

I need a dress and the invitations though!!

i also need to get my dress altered, plus i have a few little things left, but i have a yummy tentative menu--may tweak a few things but a fab start, invites are in the works, and plans for decor are good to go. oh, and so far, most of the bridal party is naked because, out of 12 attendants and the groom, only TWO have placed orders for attire. don''t stress, basil! everything''ll be lovely!!

Hi I have booked the photographer, booked the registrar, booked the venue and that is it, I get married in Sept 2008!!!
I have so much to do still!

I think I''m mostly done, except for wedding bands!

My dress won''t be in until July so I haven''t done fittings yet (more time to lose weight!), but it''s ordered and everything. . .

I have liked wedding planning much less than I expected - I thought it would be a lot more fun, but I feel like nothing is really turning out exactly as I pictured it. Is anyone else having this experience (especially as more and more things get "set") or am I just grumpy this morning?

To be honest, I enjoy hearing about other peoples weddings much more than my own, I should be booking things, but I am in a non commital frame of mind, so much to do, but because my wedding is small, I am hoping it will all work out.
