So with GIA excellent cut and excellent HCA scores, would it make a visible difference if we took the idealscope/ASET image out and compared. Or will the stones be pretty much brilliant and shining as far as the naked eye can see??
err.. compared with what?

So basically 2 GIA excellents with low HCA scores. With the ideascope analysis and by looking with naked eyes, will they be visually very different??

Still depends on the actual cutting.

For example, if the symm is off, one being a H&A, the other totally mess up symm, it will be obvious, some prefer the nice pattern while others prefer a splintery one.

Also depends on the crown and pavilion angles, a shallow crown angle, large pavilion angle cut will tend to be brighter than a larger crown angle, smaller pavilion angle cut stone.

Also, a larger lower half number will result in a thinner arrow look for the stone while a smaller lower half number will have a thicker arrow look, for a VG optical symm stone.

Very daunting, diamond hunting is.

Thanks for the info!
