I am going to take the civil service test on Friday (3/13) for the Social Security Administration-Benefits Authorizer's job.
I am hoping for a really high score to put my name at the top of the list!
I have been a Insurance Agent for the last 12 years, which was a good career until about 2 years ago when the market starting tanking!
I have seen a dramatic decrease in income, so as much as I love my job and my boss I have to try and move on.
I have applied for about 10-15 Fed Gov jobs in the last 6 months or so and although I always rate highly as qualified the jobs a veteran always beat me out!
I've been hearing and reading Govenment jobs are somewhat immune to the job/market down turn.
