Could anybody tell me if $7500 is a good deal for this diamond? Thanks in advance!

That seems like a really low price for a stone of that weight. The depth worries me as well, especially with such a large table.

I did a price comparison search here on PS but had to widen the options a tad. I searched 1.70-1.75ct E SI1 with your depth/table as the min/max options. All of the stones that returned were $11-12k, though I think it's all the same stone based on the specs. (7.48x6.13x4.34 1.70 E SI1 70.8% depth 65% table)

Have you seen this stone? Do you have any pictures you can post of it or any information other than the GIA cert? If you've seen it, what did your eyes tell you? I just went through the process of buying a radiant and I'll agree with what others are likely to post. You have to see them to really appreciate the radiant cut. It, like the other fancies, can't be picked by numbers alone.

Good luck.

Hi Tim!

We really need more info as GG suggests. Is the diamond with a brick and mortar jeweller or online vendor? Do you have any photographs or images of the diamond such as ASET? Have you actually seen it? We can''t tell much at all by the numbers, so if you could give us a little more info, we can go from there.

This was actually in an ad in craigslist. I have not seen it yet and I don''t have any pics. I did however get the person to send me some info, and the original invoice was sent to me, and the purchase price was around 20K, so I guess that answers my question as to if this is a good deal or not. Thank you for your response.

If you are considering buying this from cragslist, then you really should have it appraised by a qualified *independent* appraiser before you pay for it. Perhaps you can arrange for the seller to send it to a reputable PS appraiser at your cost, who can then give you his opinion of the stone. If it meets your approval, then you can pay the seller for the stone and have the appraiser send it to you. If it doesn''t meet your approval, you can have the appriaser send it back to the seller. This way, you are not in financial "danger" while verifying the stone.
