facets vs. engagement rings direct

Hello all.
I was able to go to the NYC diamond district today for band shopping. FYI, there are FAR fewer hawkers if you go on a rainy day!

I have narrowed fown my choices to an eternity band from Engagement Rings Direct or Facets. I was able to try on bands at Facets and they were GORGEOUS in person. The man I spoke with was also very easygoing. (he actually initially tried to talk me into a band with lower carat weight!) He wasn''t pushy at all; it was truly a fun shopping experience with him.

Here is the crux of my dilemma. I have found bands of slighty higher carat weight and slightly lower price from Engagement Rings Direct. Unfortunately, I was not able to make an appointment with Mark for today and have not seen any of his rings in person. Knowing that he is respected here, however, he is still in the running. Sidenote - Has anyone else had a less than stellar conversation with someone I assume is a receptionist?

So, have any of you tried on/seen both a facets eternity band and one from Mark? What are you opinions? Did you prefer one over the other?

Glad you had fun muchkin.

I don''t recall seeing any eternity bands on here from ERD. I''ve seen wedding sets and the like but not eternity bands. If you''re still in NYC can you get an appointment with Mark tomorow?? I bought my first eternity band from SP after I joined PS and had a great time dealing with Jerry. No pressure, he was very nice. Good luck, hopefully others that have eternity bands from Mark will chime in.

I can''t answer your question but I''m dealing with the same choice myself!! I had always planned on going with Facets for the band but I''m hoping to have Mark find a stone for me and would just rather go through one person for all of it. Hopefully someone will be able to offer their opinion and help us both out
