I am looking at a wedding band for my FI and was all set to buy it at www.eweddingbands.com until I found an identical one at Signed Pieces.. I want a 7mm platinum band with a brushed center and polished edges.

Here is the one from www.eweddingbands.com for $1306 (that includes engraving)

http://www.e-weddingbands.com/store/platnewport7.html

Here is the one from Signed Pieces for $1153 (with military discount)

Although the Signed Pieces one is obviously cheaper and probably better quality, it doesn''t include engraving. Does anyone know if Signed Pieces offers engraving? And if not, can I just take it to any B&M store and have them engrave it? How much would this typically cost?

I can not speak to the quality/reliability of e-wedding bands as I have never used them.

I can not say enough about Signed Pieces. I got my etenity wedding band from there, it is not only beautiful, but it was very reasonably priced. I ordered over the phone so I could ask some questions. The staff was courteous and knowledeable and I received the ring quickly.

Clearly, I am a Signed Pieces fan. I refer all my friends (and their significant others!) to the store. I also liked that I was able to physically visit their store and look at items, or would have been able to bring in a return.

Engraving can be done at any nice jewelry store. (Except I believe Tiffany''s unless you bought the item there. That killed Breakfast at Tiffany''s for me.)

If it were me, I would spend less on the ring with the security of ordering from a great company (again not typing to reflect poorly on e-wedding bands...I simply don''t know them well.) and get it engraved locally. I do not think the egraving will be more than the difference in price in the bands.

I have an eweddingbands.com band and I love it!

Thank you for your input.. I definitely think that the Signed Pieces ring would be a great purchase! My only concern was finding a place to have it engraved.

It''s looking like the Signed Pieces ring is the obvious choice..

My hubby has a wedding band from e-weddingbands - he has the newport platinum/titanium combination. It''s really nice! The titanium is brushed and the platinum edges are shiny. He really likes it, and we must have looked at 100 wedding bands for him! We got 6mm. The engraving is nice also - they have 2 different options right?

I would def. recommend them.

I think both places have a 30 day return policy, so maybe you can get both and compare them in person?

Hmm.. That sounds like quite a fun idea!
