@Acinom It's quite shifty and hard to capture the colour. It can be very bright yellow/ golden yellow almost peach/ lighter with chartreuse flashes depending on lighting conditions.

I'll get some more pics tomorrow outside!

I just got notified by Ivy & Rose that my rings are ready. I sent them a 5mm California spessartite garnet and an 8x6 pink spinel from Burma in the second half of March. Here are the pics they sent over. The spinel was $500, setting $749 including labor, so it's just under at $1249. The spess was $65, and the setting cost $593, so that ring is $658. I will probably get the rings next week, as I had requested to send them to a work address. Here are the hand shots that Ivy and Rose sent me.

Lovely rings and a great deal, price wise! I especially like that setting you used with the spess.

I just completed a ring "project" that came in well under $1250! I have to give a huge thank you to @PreRaphaelite for suggesting I buy the platinum art deco setting on an auction site. I saw the setting, and fell in love! My winning bid: $236. But I didn't want to keep it with the cz it came with, so was hunting for a gemstone. Then I jumped on the 4.35 ct , 8.31mm Jeff White cut Cambodian blue zircon when it listed on LT. $500! I sent my goodies off to DK for new claws and stone setting, $200. Total: $936!

That is the zircon I was going to set into my empty setting!

Ah well! It looks fabulous in its new home and what a beautiful home it is. I love the details!

Thank you! I jumped on that listing as soon as I saw it, sorry I didn't know anyone else was interested. Have you checked with Rioux Rocks on IG? He's got some beautiful zircons! Finewater has some gorgeous ones as well.

Don't apologize! I would have agonized and debated forever. Clearly it was meant to be yours.

@Lilith112 here is that pink spinel in rose gold, next to a rose gold ring from Ivy and Rose I set with a tsav garnet last year.

These were meant to be index finger rings, but eating canned and pickled foods has made my fingers fat.

Pretty, pretty.
Ooh, I have been eyeing that pink spinel setting!
What do you think, it is comfy? Sparkle factor? It looks lovely, they all do actually.

Comfy, definite yes. I don't know how to quantify the sparkle. Diffused daylight sparkle, fairly subtle, just what I like. Under direct sun or strong light, dazzling.

Here are some closer shots. I especially like how they did the prongs, it's very elegant.

That's what I imagined and am happy to hear from a real world wearer. I mean how often do you get to see the ring you're ogling and there it is. It is my jam- the fluidity, the spread...it really is elegant.
I have a gunmetal gray spinel who would love to snuggle down.
*thank you for more pictures to ogle!

Ohhh the pink spinel ring is lovely! So elegant and delicate looking <3

My jeweler is open for business again, I'm just debating whether or not now's the right time to set my pad considering gold prices currently :/

I think what I'm going to set this year, I'm going to try to set in silver or platinum, unless I find semi-mounts like these. Silver for my cheaper gems, platinum for better ones. Platinum is still relatively low priced last time I checked. It's heavier, but whenever I clean my jewelry, there's relatively less crud that washes off the platinum, so I think it's more easy maintenance.

Ohhh I can't wait to see your future projects! They seem really promising :D

For the pad, I already have a set vision, and I don't mind waiting since I don't have any other gems to set. I'm just looking to set it some time this year. Fingers crossed it'll be sooner than later!

I just got pictures from one of my jewelers, Daniel M, of the rings he has made for me in silver. Based on my ideas I sent him as sketches, he came up with these, and I can't wait to receive them and wear them!

Just received today, a reddish pink tourmaline from Barry at ACS, 4.55cts, in a modified tulip setting from JuliaB. The original tulip setting has 4 petals and we changed it to 6 prongs. All in all comes under $1,100. It certainly a cheer up in these extraordinary days, but it also saddens me for Barry's family loss.

That's a beautiful stone! I'm sorry for Barry's loss, but I have never had the fortune to buy from him. This setting was the perfect one for this stone, and you are showcasing Barry's work to perfection.

My first time with an Yvonne ring... I had been pining over it for months, and finally bit the bullet. Resized to fit my larger fingers, and I think it’s a perfect combo of pretty and assertive to match my aesthetic :)

Also! It fluoresces :)

I just love it! The design as well as the colors! The fluorescence is really amazing. What are the types of stones?

Congratulations on your new ring,
