I am looking at these two diamonds from WF. I know alot of the PS members think H SI is good choice for earrings. This is going to be my 10th anniversary pressie so I want something really nice and for me to keep forever. Tell me what you think about them? Thanks in advance.

You could definitely drop down a bit in both color and clarity. But it is a mind clean thing too of course. My aca pair is half the size of the ones you're looking at, and I had a choice of F SI1s or I VS1s. I chose the Fs because I'd rather have higher color than higher clarity. But it's also a factor of what's available when you look. If you can find some that are lower in clarity you'd save some $, even if you want to stay in the colorless range. If not available though, there's nothing wrong with better color and clarity! They look beautiful!

Well I think they look lovely. I saw the other two choices that WF said would be a match and I''m not sure if I would have chosen the G with the more similar table size. Other than that if you want them and they''re in budget why not F VS1? (Mine are F VS2''s)

They look like they're going to be beautiful earrings.

If they're the size and price that you want, go for it. If you wish they were either larger or less expensive, yep, you can definitely go down in clarity for diamond studs.

Because of hair, hairspray, etc., earrings get dirty very quickly and the extra clarity won't be noticeable. (A large droplet of hairspray, when dried on a VVS1 diamond, will look like an I1 cloud; when scraped by hair, it looks like an SI2 feather.) In addition, it's likely that anyone who gets within 8 inches of your earrings probably is focusing on something other than your earrings (like your lips, LOL).

But if you're not trying to squeeze every penny out of the transaction, the pair you selected sound like they're going to be very lovely earrings.

Thanks for the replies ladies.

I like the idealscope pics of these diamonds....I am no expert apart from what I have read online to educate myself

. More red is suppose to be more brighter????

F diamonds idealscope pics looks pink compare to G diamonds.

The pink vs red is more a factor of the lighting conditions and such when the photos were taken - not better light return on the stones. They all have really nice IS images.
