Howdy Gang... Is it possible to have an eyeclean SI3, 2.25 Princess diamond? Will H color show as white in a platinum setting? Finally, what does it cost for a private party to get a GIA certificate. Thanks!

It is definitely possible. Inclusions need to be evaluated
in terms of size, color, and most importantly, location.
The better the Cut of the diamond, the greater
probability that the inclusions will blend in and
not be eye-visible. A well-cut stone, H color
will look fabulous in platinum.

Call GIA (212) 221-5858 for submission instructions (and fees)
for a report.

Current turn-around time is 2 1/2 weeks.

Good Luck.

I'm not certain, but it seems to me
I'd be very leary of an SI3.

Good luck and keep us posted!
