Why does it seem as though the more I use an eye cream, the more I need one? It might be coincidental, I'm sure, but honestly, I seem to be getting wrinklier since I've started this ritual. Has anyone else had this problem?

Does anyone have an eye cream that they LOVE? So far, I am thinking that the ones I've tried are terrible...you know...considering that I'm still aging and all.

I have been layering two or three lately:
Out of the shower I blot my face dry and apply this under my eyes liberally, then all over my face lightly(im in love with this stuff, it's cheap and fantastic, Im on my like 3rd or 4th jar):

When it's mostly sunken in, then I apply either this lightly:

Which ones have you tried? There's a couple that I've found actually dry my skin out rather than moisturize.

I like the ones by clinique, like All About Eyes because it's really silky and works great as a base for my concealer. Their Repairwear is nice too.

There was one by Clarins I tried that was especially horrible...I forget the name...the tube is out in my car. Their eye sunscreen is great, though, but I put that on under the All About Eyes. On it's own, it doesn't do anything for moisture. Just provides SPF.

I like Kiel's and if you like super super rich eye creams, La Mer was actually too rich for my eyes!

Guilty of using two...

Obagi or Skinceuticles. Depending in the sale....

Then when I apply cover up I use Clinique all about eyes... It blends the cover up nicely.... To cover up the dark circles.

My very favorite is the La Mer eye concentrate. I have tried at least 50 others over the years trying to find one that is as good as this one is at a lower price point. I haven't been able to find one. I went a few months without it recently, thinking it was all in my head, but when
I broke down and bought it, I could pretty much see a difference in my eyes after one application. I order it online and always get a couple samples of the other products I like. They have a new 'soft' cream and I like that and I always get a sample of the eye concentrate and I keep those for traveling.

On the days that I feel really dry, I add a little of another La Mer cream on top but that isn't too often. If you have a store near you that
sells it, I would ask for a sample for you to try before you invest. This really works for me, but creams don't work the same on everyone.
One jar lasts me about 3 months. It also comes with a metal tipped wand that is great for the mornings you wake up a little puffy.

I cannot seem to get much result from the La Mer eye products. I have the Creme and the Soft Creme and they're ok (I find that I need a ridiculous amount of Soft Creme to get anywhere...) but the eye products don't do much for me. I do use the cleansing gel though and LOVE it.

Reviving an old thread! I was looking for an eye cream, so did a search on PS.

Ame- Do you still love the Chagrin Valley mousse? I ordered some last night. I appreciate that the ingredient list is not nearly as scary as what I read while looking at products in CVS yesterday, but also get that it may not be as effective for fine lines, which I am just noticing. I think it's due to dryness more than anything, so this stuff should do the trick. Or maybe I am just in denial! Anyway, have you tried anything else from there? I ordered a face wash and also some fig soap. Yay!

****************

Wasn't there another thread not too long ago -- something like -- do eye creams really work? I recall the thread, but never clicked on it, and now can't find it. I'm on a mission!! lol!

I DO! I haven't been using it as much lately as I was, just bec I was trying out some new stuff. I was playing with ROC eye cream and a Mario Badescu jar and lotion. I need to get that stuff out! I have not tried anything else from there though, I do want to try a few more things, I just stick to this right now. I have to really read ingredients, though. They have stuff with Castor in it, and that would be a scary reaction! I like that the mousse is very simple in the list. You really do not need much at all and it melts very well.

I am glad I had a big sample of that Chanel stuff I mentioned above and not paid for. I ended up not being able to keep using it.

Thanks for the feedback, Ame. I'll let you know how I like the new products. I should probably get ROC at some point as well. Do you mean that you are allergic to castor oil?

Also, this was one of the posts from this morning that was lost, so curious whether this reply will revive our missing posts!

I noticed it went MIA and was relieved to see it was back. Whew!

I am VIOLENTLY allergic to castor oil, its "derivatives" and lanolin and its "derivatives". It's not as big of a problem on like my hands and body, but on my face, neck, chest, and lips...I look like I have the herp within about 30 minutes, epic blistering. They're used in SO MUCH STUFF that it's insane.

I am super excited to hear what you think. I know when I first heard about the mousse for the face I was REALLLLY skeptical, but I was so pleasantly surprised, and my dermatologist is into it now, even!
