I am planning on temporarily moving to my parents house for a few months while we remodel our home. My parents'' home iss an older, large house and the problem is there has been a bit of a bug issue in the past so I''d like to have an exterminator go through the top floor where we''ll be staying. We were told the spring is the best time.

What is the general guidleine with children though..should she be out of the house and for how long (hours, days, weeks?)

Thanks!

Love the title...I thought, yes, some days I would love an exterminator for my young child.

We had a flea issue in our last apartment and they sprayed the carpet. We were out for 4 hours and then we were allowed back in. No issues. I also asked the ped about this and he said no issues.

We have an ant problem in our apartment. I called the office, and they sent out a guy with bug spray. One of the places he had to spray was our pantry. We had cleaned all the food out and thrown away anything open, and I asked him how long we should wait to move food back into it, and he said we didn''t have to wait at all, that the stuff was totally safe, and bug spray isn''t nearly as bad as it used to be, etc.

That being said, I still felt weird about it and waited 2 days before putting food back in. I would just ask whoever you call about it.

Thanks ladies and LOL TGAL on my title..didn''t even think of that!

I will definitely ask the exterminator but good to hear it''s nothing extreme, b/c I''d hate to move everything there and then find out we should be out of the house for x number of days/weeks.

In this case it''s for bees believe it or not. There are also some stink bugs once in awhile which I HATE but bees are not a bug that can be tolerated even just a little!! My parents live in a country-like area with lots of wooded land, greenery and..buggies unfortunately.
