Explain to me about Ovals....

So i know with ovals you should try and avoid the 'bow tie' effect but what else should i look for specifically in oval cuts...

I found this diamond, if it is eye clean and the pics come back good would it be a good buy? Or am i totally delusional

SI2 in fancies is unlikely to be eye clean and impossible to gauge cut by the numbers. Being that it is EGL USA, I would want to verify the colour and clarity grading as well.

As Chrono said, it's impossible to judge any fancy shape by the numbers alone. You have to look at photos and it has to appeal to your eye. You don't want a stone that's too deep, because you'd be paying for a stone that faced up smaller than it's carat weight (true for any shaped stone)....you may be able to find an eye clean SI2 if you're patient...just be sure that there's a return window so that you can view the stone in many lighting conditions at your leisure without feeling pressured by a hovering sales person.
