Hi all,
I came across this stone and the numbers on the HCA puzzled me.
Table %: 56.9
Depth: 62.2
CA: 35.5
PA: 40.8
LGF: 81%
I posted another diamond with a 33.5 CA and Dreamer D mentioned that it would be lots wthite light but less fire, but I prefer more fire and not mind less white light. Anyway, I rejected the other diamond cos I didn't like the color. So I actively searched for a higher CA, and found the one mentioned above.
If you run the numbers in HCA, you'll find that the cross will be within the AGS and GIA accepted as ideal/excellent region. Yet the score is 2.2.
Is this an example of non-conventional but will be amazing tyoe of diamond or is it a dud?
I'm not sure if I'll get this diamond as the numbers are unexpected, but just for learning sake, can someone pls explain why the apparent contradiction in HCA score and region?
Thank you.
