It is Whiteflash's 3-sided pave setting. I spoke with someone on the phone, and they said that the way the ring is designed, the engagement ring and matching band do not rub diamond on diamond. There is a thin edge of metal on both pieces, so only metal on metal is touching. Still, I am slightly worried. So how safe is 3-sided pave really? From the photos, does it look like any diamonds from the e-ring would rub on the diamonds on the side of the band? Thanks

well over time, the metal will still rub against each other and wear away the prongs holding those melees and you might risk losing the diamonds. But if you have it solder then there will be no friction against each other, however, why would you buy a three sided if you don't get to enjoy its beauty from all angles know what I mean?
ETA: would you even consider wearing it separately like the ering on the right hand and the wedding band on the left? once married? just a thought

If WF told you the the stones don''t touch then you are safe. They mostly likely designed the set that way--so you could wear both rings together and not worry about damage. The milgrain that rubs of course will show wear over time but it''ll take a long long time to wear down all the milgrain and start to wear down the prongs.

Thank you for your replies! What about melee falling out?

oh, just that over time, if you don''t get your rings inspected regularly for preventative measures. The prong metals will wear down holding those little diamonds and you may lose a little diamond.
