Vendor does not provide idealscopes.

What do you think based on the numbers and pictures?

:wavey:

Hi Kalliope, :wavey: . I like the photo and numbers of the second stone. Looks to be gorgeous. I am not crazy about the crown angle of the first one.

Thanks for your reply, diamondbug! I'm awaiting a picture of a third diamond and have been thinking about this signature ideal as well (it comes with an optical brilliance analysis):

Both 2nd and 3rd diamond look gorgeous. If the color and size are the same and both are eye clean, I would pick the cheaper one. I think they would look equally beautiful.

Both are VS2 and thus considered eyeclean. #3 is a little smaller but cheaper.

Found another one at a different vendor:

#4
I VS2
GIA 3x ex
Depth 62.1
Table 56
Crown Angle 35
Pavillon Angle 40.8
Girdle slightly thick, faceted (4%)
Inclusion Crystal
HCA 1,6
AGA/NAJA 1A

Still prefer the #2 and #3.

Even without the IS?

Is it eyeclean?

I didn't ask to be honest, as it is a VS2...

Would it be a good choice if eyclean? What do you think of the other stones I posted (I know, there are no idealscopes or ASETs but with the experience you guys have I thought you could give me advice)?

You are right. #2 does not have IS but #3 has an optical brilliance analysis which should tell you the light performance. I still prefer the photo of #2. It looks bright and crisp. You need to check if #4 is eye clean. Not all VS2 are eye clean. I had called in a VS2 that was not eye clean with a black crystal smack dab in the middle of the table.

Hey diamond bug,

I'd really like to go with the signature ideal since it has this brilliance analysis, BUT the second one is 0.22mm bigger in diameter so I might go for that one. Hope it will be great (I do have an idealscope at home so we'll see how well it does).

I'm drawn to #2 more than the others. Great figures and the arrows are nice and fat (I prefer the look of bold arrows).

Thanks two_little_birds!

Since DBF wants the ring to be at least a little bit of surprise I sent him both #2 and #3 and will let him choose =) .

Thanks for your help!

Back again. Since my favourite (#2) is gone I'd like to find some more choices for DBF.

What do you think about this one:

#5
I VS1
GIA 3x ex
Depth 61.7
Table 56
Crown Angle 35
Pavillon Angle 40.6
Girdle medium- slightly thick, faceted (3.5%)
Inclusion Crystal, Cloud, Needle, Pinpoint
HCA 0.8
AGA/NAJA 1A

Unfortunately still 0.16mm smaller than #2  .

Looks like a solid contender to me. Sorry to hear that #2 was snatched up by someone else.
