I''m bumping this since I am just about to purchase it, but I greatly value the PS crowd''s opinion for peace of mind! This is an ideal cut from GOG with all the AGS/GIA certs, etc.

Any thoughts?

It looks very nice going by the info provided!

The specs look fantastic other than the depth of 62.79%. I''m not an expert but my question to the experts would be how is it that deep when all the other measurements are in the ideal range? It can''t be. What am I missing or don''t understand? The girdle isn''t thick and nothing else stands out. Could someone help enlighten me. Thanks.

Very nice! I am sorry I missed this earlier. Jon selects only great looking stones for his inventory, so I think you''ve made a good choice! I have an H VS1 stone from him that is almost that size.

I checked the score the other day and it was excellent at like 1.6 or something. The price was around $16k (bank wire was 15,600 I think). I have no idea about prices, but I figured it was well within average range since it is from GOG and they are so well respected here.

I am so happy I''m not hearing bad comments! I love this stone but don''t have the expertise y''all do to really know if it''s truly awesome. But is that depth a problem? If it''s ideal cut it''ll shine like no tomorrow regardless of depth, right?

Seems like a really good deal. Do you have the link of the AGS report from GOG? I can't seem to search for it. I just bought a 1.37 F SI1 from them and received it today and its beautiful! Talk to Jon and see what he thinks at GOG. How do the inclusions look on the VS2? I've been looking thru this 10x loop they gave me with the diamond and I still can't find my inclusions on the SI1. But I have been researching for a few months and have limited knowledge on what i'm looking at. I would probably say upgrade to a higher color and maybe drop to an SI1 that is visually clean. I returned a 1.21 Blue Nile Signature diamond that was 1.21 H VVS2 for the GOG stone. I noticed very little faint yellow tint on the H that I did not like, but i'm very picky, this F color is icey white and super nice! I like the diamond I have now ALOT more than the blue nile one. IMHO, I rather choose something like color that I can see more, rather than clarity which you can't usually see unless you have it magnified.

IMHO, the depth shouldn''t really be a problem. Jon has awesome stones and I would trust his judgement. As far as the depth of this stone, I purchased a 1.73 and it was 7.75x7.76 where as your 1.75 is 7.66x7.70. If it scores less than a 2 on the HCA, it should be just fine...
