Hello all,
First let me thank everyone in this community for the immense amount of information and help I have obtained through lurking on the forums. I would truly have been lost without you!
I''m proposing in a few weeks and I need to lock down my diamond choice now. Budget is between 3000 and 4000 for the diamond itself. Size is less important than visual impact for her - she loves ''sparkle''. I''ve been looking at AGSS0 Rounds about .75 carat, D-F and IF-VSI2 for setting in a white gold or platinum solitaire or pave.
I''ve visited local stores here in Florida as well as the mall superstores and the major online vendors BN, WF, JA, GOG. The best value seems to be online so that''s where I''m going to go. I found the following stones at Whiteflash and James Allen that meet my cut, color, clarity standards as well as being <2.0 on HCA.
My problem is that I don''t really know how to decide from here. I want the best light performance, but without a GEMEX report or viewing it in person I can''t figure out how to differentiate the stones. I tried to see a difference in the Idealscopes and photos but I just can''t make out much difference other than the minor occlusions in the SI2.
Sorry for the format, I think this posting box is mangling my spreadsheet:

Thanks in advance for whatever advice you can give me!
Mike
