What do you think?

thanks for the info, the round cut is important to her... budget around
$10,000.00

Here's a screen shot of diamonds with known Cut Adviser scores that are currently available. A diamond that scores under 2 on the HCA is among the top 5% of all diamonds in performance. I searched 1.6 to 1.85 carat, F to J color, VS1 to SI2.

We've seen several 100% eye clean SI2's lately in larger diamonds. And someone recently bought an I color, eye clean SI2, 3+ carat diamond that is absolutely gorgeous. Mara is absolutely correct that a well made diamond faces up much whiter than its actual color grade.

These are all great diamonds. Take a look at the specs,... table size, total Depth, crown and pavillion %'s and angles, etc, to get a feel for what to look for when you are searching for your special diamond.

This post obviously does not address your Q directly, but this was quite tempting to post.
