Pros: It''s a beautiful stone!

Cons: The price

**no expert, just my .02**

The price?
This diamond is about 20% cheaper than a branded stone...

IS looks good, but tiny arrows... :P

Good spread though.

Pros: Great IS, and gets a quad-EX on the HCA! Very desirable size, color, and clarity.

Cons: Uhh...it''s not free?

Just a few "personal preference" issues for me: I like my arrows just a tad fatter, but I could live with these. I would also tend toward slightly lower color and clarity (say G-H VS2-SI1) to reduce the cost. Also has no fluorescence...fluor is a big plus for me. If I had to do my diamond search all over again, I would have sought out one with medium to strong blue fluor.

Thank you!
I like tiny arrows and long star facets.
On this diamond, the table is a little big.
I don''t feel safe with VS2 or lower clarity, and I think F-VS1 without fluorescence is a good value.
Other opinions about the cut of this stone?

Symmetry looks OK but not perfect, yet AGS gives it ideal symmetry.
Other cons?

Lab grade symm is not based on optical symm, which is why Ideal lab grade symm does not automatically translate to H&A and vice-versa.

You probably know lab graded symmetry is for the physical alignment and precision of all the facets, optical symmetry is different to this - I like this rock Stephan but I would LOVE to know what you are up to....

Paul tried to explain it to me once: it''s something about the meetpoints right?

I will post a couple of links for you Stephan, in brief -

"Diamonds that exhibit "Superior" optical symmetry must display a perfect optical alignment of the facets when observing the internal reflections of the stone. "

Hi Lorelei!
35.gif

As you know, my surgery is next week.
Don''t I deserve a reward if I survive?
27.gif

You will ask me why a smaller diamond than previous ones?
In fact, size doesn''t matter that much anymore and I''m happy if I can save some money for other pleasures.

Hi friend!

I will be thinking of you and praying it goes well, please check in if you can as soon as you feel up to it to let us know how it went, it will be ok!!!

Oh YES you deserve a reward, been amusing myself wondering what you are planning....Tension set ring perhaps? Thats great if you now prefer the smaller diamonds and good for you if you have some other fun plans!

You know I still remember that honkin'' 3 ct M Infinity from years ago, that was a beauty....

I won''t buy a tension ring.
Don''t even try to guess what I''ll do, you won''t believe it...
Wait and see...

Have a good night Lorelei!

Don''t tease us!

It looks like a very spready stone, IMHO, that will be white, bright, and full of pinflash.

perfect for you, you will love it.

Then it should be perfect for you! Good luck with surgery...can''t wait to see what you do with the rock!

Thank you SaraPJ!
Thank you jstarfireb for your good luck wishes!
Hey Karl, you know I was waiting your ''green light''! ;)

I really hope the JA team can hold this diamond until I''m back home, August the 3rd.
It''s too risky to pay for a diamond before a surgery, even if it isn''t severe...

The baby is in the FedEx plane.
It should be here Monday morning, but I have an appointment with the surgeon who wants to check if I heal well.
20.gif

I recovered very well from my operation, but I wouldn''t dare to cancel the appointment.
2.gif

FedEx has already contacted me to mention how much VAT I''ll have to pay.
It sounds good!

kicken on both counts!
Glad you are feeling better!!!

Thank you Karl!
And believe me, you said the magic words when you said ''perfect for you'' because you know that my left eye is blind and that I have a different taste than others.

Today, together with a friend, we looked at +/- 30 diamonds for fun.
We both eliminated the same bad ones, but our favorite one was never the same.
1.gif

With this purchase, I'm happy that I've bought a AGS0 diamond that could perhaps be GIA EX too and that will please my right eye.
5.gif

Ok so what are you doing with it Mister???

Congrates as Karl would say!!!

Hi Lorelei!

In fact, it is already done...

As this diamond is smaller than the one I had before, the ring must be even smaller.
the ring
Yes, it is feminine.
I''ll wear it on the same finger than my wedding ring.
I didn''t want to occult the diamond with more metal.

I don''t care if people will think I''m gay.
