pretty close. GIA rounding is too messy to really differentiate between proportions here. Get pics, or have them both sent to you or appraiser and then decide.

Ditto. By the way, we are not experts, this is a consumer forum with some experts who are in the industry. Most of us are just knowledgeable consumers who love diamonds!! Just wanted to point that out according to your thread title.

Thanks for your thoughts. What about the color, Is the G color worth teh extra $$$?
When i mean experts, i mean folks who know the stuff

It is important to note the difference on primarily a consumer forum which has some experts participate. By using the term expert advice wanted in your thread title, it is sometimes difficult to determine what type of advice you actually need and if indeed an expert is the only or best person to advise you. Sometimes an expert is the best person to offer posters the advice they seek.

As to your question if the G colour is worth the extra, it is hard to say, colour is often a cause of large price jumps, but whether it is worth paying out the extra compared to the H only you can judge really. Either colour in a great cut should face up very white with little to choose between them, an H may look a slightly softer white, but in general, not many people can tell the difference with side by side comparison.

Check out this thread for further assistance on colour, it isn't exact as you will probably appreciate due to the differences in monitors, but it will give you an idea. http://www.goodoldgold.com/4Cs/Color/NearColorless/
