Both Are diamond solitaire rings
Can some expert advice which of these two is a good deal.
Also is the price okie for these diamonds .. Also Second diamond has little florescence. Is it okie to have it?
Please provide the expert opinion
#2 is the best of those two in terms of cut, color, and diameter. So I'd eliminate the first one. Faint fluorescence is inconsequential (and medium or greater is fine, usually, too.) I will look up price comps. Be right back.
Okay, I found a comp for the G VS1, and it is a top quality hearts and arrows stone around the same price. So your price for the stone above may be a little high.
Thanks diamondseeker2006 ! Second diamond will cost me 12750 ( tax included).
What's your estimated price for the above, how much extra you think i will be paying for same.
Also , I have to get the Ring resized from size 7 to 5. they don't do it in store..
Is it okie to have ring resized.
So the diamond is already in a setting? That is pretty unusual. Is it a plain white gold or platinum solitaire setting? I would not be too wild about a size 7 being sized down to a 5. I'd prefer the diamond be set in a setting that was made a size 5.
Is the ring at a jewelry store? The price is probably okay for a regular jeweler, but you could get a top quality stone such as the one I linked for about the same price with no sales tax if you live outside of TX.
Yes the diamond is already in setting.
It is platinum setting. I have to get it resized myself.
I would prefer to buy it in store.. in Texas.
How much more do you think i am paying.. Please advice..
Does the above stone not worth 12750..
I like the second stone you are considering. I would buy it loose if you choose, and buy a mount later. You should not have to resize a mount they have it in already, the mount should be made for you in your size!
If you are buying in person from a store then the prices are very good as they are close to online prices. You could probably buy online a similar diamond for a little less, maybe $2000 less, but you would need to buy a mount and pay taxes on top of that.
The stones the other posters linked are precisions H&A cuts. That means that they are not only exceptional in terms of the angles and proportions, but the precision of the cut is also above average, likely better than the one you are considering. People vary in whether they think that H&A precision affect appearance of diamonds, I don't think there is a clear "this one is best" response. But those are other options available if you wanted to go that route. But there is nothing wrong with sticking to the vendor whom you chose. Seems the prices are ok.
Does your purchase come with a receipt and an unconditional refund period?
