What a fabulous collection :kiss2:

Excellent I'm heading to Brisbane when that's showing..If I get time I'll go check it out :) thanks!

Woohoo! I’ll definitely go see this next time I’m in brissie

Figured I might ask for some bling sight seeing areas for if I have time on my trip... Any suggestions for places to head to if I get chance whilst in Brisbane? @Starstruck8

Brisbane isn't really a great place for jewellery window shopping - or if it is, I don't look in the right windows.

Bling central is the Brisbane Arcade, off the Queen St Mall, between Queen St and Adelaide St. There are two levels, don't miss the top level.

There are branches of Tiffany and Bulgari (off the Queen St Mall) and Cartier (in Elisabeth St, one block off the Queen St Mall) - but I imagine you would find these in any major city. Don't miss Canturi (in the Tattersall's Arcade, between Edward St and Queen St) - for a 'name', they have very creative designs.

After that, there are boutiques scattered throughout the city and suburbs - but these are probably not the best for a casual visit.

Dang I've just missed this and won't be back before they finish.

I think this place also has jewels - https://instagram.com/antique_guild?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=

I remember seeing a 6ct+ oec on their insta and was like woah I've never seen an oec that big in Australia!

Y'know, I've walked past their shop in Tattersall's Arcade many times, noticed the antiques, but never noticed that they had jewellery. Thank you for the tip.

Thanks :) whatever there is - it's probably better than out west!

Anyone in Brisbane (Australia), or planning to visit in the next few months, must see this exhibition of pieces by Margot Mckinney. Open to 6th November. It's not often that we Brisbaneites get to see jewellery of this standard.

Wondrous indeed, @Starstruck8. Thanks for sharing this - I never knew about her work. It is sumptuous and I shall read more. Will you visit the exhibition?

I've been twice already, and I plan to go again.

This is serious, 'red carpet' style jewellery, that the likes of me would never normally see, and that may never be seen again in Brisbane. At least not by those of us who are not in a position to commission a piece from Margot herself...

Wow, if i were there I might have done the same - just to relish every bit!

Thank you for putting this out there. We went today and some of the pieces (in fact most of them) were amazing. That Aquamarine was jaw dropping.

Yeah, it's not every day that you get to see a 100+ct Santa Maria aquamarine. Or an 80+ct deep purple kunzite. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Bumping this as a reminder that it's last days. Closes 6th November.
