This is pretty funny, it was forwarded us by a client that thought we''d like to know what the "Good Folks" at Diamond Cutters International think about the diamonds we sell at NiceIce.com http://www.diamondcuttersintl.com/diamond_education/ask/view_item.asp?ID=8767

Now we ask those of you who actually KNOW US and who have actually seen our diamonds, have you EVER seen anything "Bad" or "Ugly" grace our presence?!?! Our selection criteria is amongst the tightest in the industry and our rejection rate is off the charts! And all of "this" from "some guy" who was charged with embezzlement by the Federal Trade Commission and who thinks that there is such a thing as "bonded" and "warped" diamonds... Wa-ha-ha-ha you''re killing us Fred! One of these days, you''re going to actually pick up a Gemology Book (that you didn''t write) and

it!

Robin & Todd, I am appalled at the cavalier attitude you seem to dismiss Mr. Fred's claims! Why he's virtually the GOD of diamonds!

Didn't you know that if there is any quality in the diamond business it most certainly comes from HIS store, and HIS store ALONE!?

Truly you must not have known this. Didn't you know warped diamonds are the RAGE, and "quality" is merely something agreed upon by DCI? They LEAD the pack of diamond experts!

WHEW! All that sarcasm has made me tired. And so had Freddy. He should be banished. Honestly, some poor schmoe is reading that drivel and thinking, "hey this guys knows his stuff!" Wow, to be SO niave and mislead...

What a joke!!! My eyes! You're by far the strictest during your selection... And 'good' is not good enough for you. I know it for a fact.

While I'm in agreement, why lend any creedence to what this guy says by challenging it, has he actually seen your stones? I think I would challenge him on it & make him squirm a bit for fun.

There are quite a few who believe what he says is gospel.

Just happy that the 'other' site gets lots of comment here too for good measure

F&I, funny that the respective dismissive phrase implies that the main shortcoming of Niceice diamonds is that they're not 'bonded'. Otherwise, there is no explanation on what makes the stones 'ugly'. Oh well... it's all left to one's aesthetic judgment of "good, bad and ugly".

My taste finds the claim tasteless... sure that.

Here is "the good, the bad and the ugly" (for real) about Fred Cuellar as featured in New York Diamond Magazine, November 1998, Volume 49, Page 9:

The "funny thing" about this is that we were featured in the same issue as one of the leading internet diamond sites

Oh no... according to this reply, he's starting his own fully bonded diamond site!

Taken from his response:
"... A few years ago, I commented to the Board of Directors of my parent company on the incredible opportunity these “e-tailers” were missing. If they just were more up front with what they were REALLY selling and backed their PRIMO stuff with great warranties, the flood gates would open and happy customers and dollars would roll in. So it is with great pride that practically 5 years after that first initial meeting, fullybondeddiamonds.com will be opening its doors modeled after my book. It is an honor. I hope this company will serve as the benchmark for all the other on-line retailers out there, proving that you can be 100% honest and make a buck at the same time. ..."

Well, it seems he has been concentrating on the "make a buck at the same time" part, but he must have forgotten the "100% honest" part... Maybe 20% honest, 80% not? Ok, ok fine.... 5% honest 95% NOT...

R/T, I would not worry a thing about his silliness. Price Scope will serve as a internet testament to your hard work, dedication and OBVIOUS standards of excellence that your customers and potential customers enjoy every day!

My mom always told me that anyone who puts someone else down just needs to do so to elevate themselves from the dirt. Fred would be PigPen in this case...

Oh, we're NOT worried in the slightest... If we were, we wouldn't have made Fred's opinion of our merchandise available here on PS for everybody to read... We just thought that it was worthy of mention for what it is and that we would give everybody something to laugh about

Guys, we all know Mr. Cuellar methods.

Let's concentrate on something positive.

too bad he didnt go a little farther then you could have sent your lawyer after him.

Hello everyone...I admit I was curious and checked out the site - Now I don't want to appear stupid, but I think I ended up on a Dear Abby site because I haven't known any reputable diamond dealers to have "...ask him..." or "...ask her..." columns - they have informational areas, but not about lying to a spouse or wild bachelor parties possibly being the reason for marriages called off at the altar....then I noticed Connoisseurs Jewelry Wipes, Soap and Brushes for sale...I know I have seen these at Walmart, maybe another 'cross-link'...
