Hello! I am interested in having a 3 stone with a vertical orientation made but I am having a hard time finding examples of them. Please help! I have a few so far, but I'm trying to get a better idea of proportion/elements that I prefer. TIA!

If you go to pinterest and type in diamond dinner ring you'll find lots of examples

Thank you Niel! These are gorgeous!! The first one is a dream! I love the marquis- so unique!
I will definitely check out pinterest (never knew what to call them)

There are lots of examples! It might help if you do a google image search or pinterest search of Victorian or Art deco 3 stone rings. They were quite popular. You can also look on ebay- I have 1 or 2 dozen on my watch list currently.

milla jovovich also has a diamond ring in that style.

Oh goodness Niel, I love this ring!!

The one Niel posted is gorgeous!

Here are some I found during my search for setting ideas:

All of these rings are gorgeous!

I think this is a style that has not come back into fashion because it doesn't suit most people, need long fingers for this type.

This is one of my all time favorite antique styles, but I agree it can be a bit tricky. I still feel like it can be pulled off on shorter fingers by wearing such a ring on whichever finger is longest on the hand (ie. middle finger). Another option for shorter fingers, scaling down the height N-S of the ring and using smaller stones to keep the proportion balanced....but then again, balance can be overrated

Yes! This is why I am in need of several examples! Proportions are very tricky to make it substantial but not over-the-top.

dk168, seriously in love with those rings!! I'm leaning toward an oval-lish silhouette like the rings you posted-- thank you for adding!!

Love that first one dk168 posted, too. I think that is Scarlett Johansson's, right?

Another. I prefer a slightly larger center stone for the middle stone. I love that Milla's is another shape as well.

You and me both. It's so gorgeous. Would be cool with colored stones on the top and bottom too.
