I chose white gold but I have some yellow gold earrings too. I like both.

I have 0.819cttw H&A earrings from GOG. Those are set in platinum, and I wear them every single day. Never take them off except for cleaning.

White gold. The tiniest little princess cut diamond studs. They were the first jewellery BF ever gave me and the first diamonds I ever owned. They''re very precious to me! We measured them once out of curiosity and we *think* they might be .10ct each.

My rounds are in yellow gold. I do not personally like yellow gold but these were given to my mother from my father and then to me. I never take them off.

White gold studs, and sterling silver hoops, usually, except when I jazz it up! But if not the silver hoops, then something else white gold.

1. No allergic reaction
2. Earring settings are so minimal that you don''t see much of the metal anyway.

I'm really down on platinum for things like this- i.e. not a statement piece like an engagement ring (even assuming one wants platinum for an engagement ring). The cost has become so ridiculous.

I wear white gold diamond stud earrings. I can''t afford platinum, or can''t justify the cost of platinum, and white gold just doesn''t turn yellow on me. I''ve been wearing some white gold rings for 7 years that have yet to go yellowish. If they did I would have chosen platinum.
