Wondering if you good folks can take a look at this diamond that I'm considering purchasing and comment on it.

It's 1.7 G-SI2 round brilliant with Triple X on cut/symmetry/polish on the GIA report. It would cost about $13900

Table: 56
Depth: 61.5
Crown angle: 34.5
Pavillion angle: 40.8
Girdle: medium

I've inlcuded a photo and ASET image. Vendor says its 100% eyeclean.

Do you think it's a good purchase? Thanks.

Beautiful cut and fair price as long as they say it is eyeclean.

nice stone if eye clean... :appl:

Thanks.

From looking at that picture do you think it will be eye clean? Or will those clouds be visible without magnification?

Its got great numbers...cant tell eye-clean just from the pictures. Did you ask the vendor?

I love the fatty arrows! Looks like a good value in this diamond market for sure.

Yea I'm scared those clouds might be visible. But the vendor swears it's 100% eye clean. How do verify it?

Make sure there is a good return policy and judge the stone for yourself.

The photos is magnified, what... 40x? Of course you can see the inclusions. You can see inclusions in a VS2 in a 40x photo. You cannot judge eye clean from pictures. The only way to know for sure is see it yourself. Make sure the return policy is good.

And Ephraim, as a trade member, you are not allowed to evaluate diamonds a poster is considering, there is a conflict of interest.

Mark T. from ERD is the vendor I'm working with who has excellent reviews from PS so that gives me some comfort. Still, i'm going to have a friend check it out in person as I am clear across the country.
