Etsy payment via bank transfer

Is it safe to opt for bank transfer while shopping on Etsy?

Hi - I would say it depends on the seller. How long have they been on the platform, what are their reviews, and also return policy? I would stick to PayPal personally.

I prefer PayPal regardless. Some sellers do not respond etc so if you need to dispute something its much quicker via PayPal.

I bought an item and they didn't post it. 3 weeks later and about 10 messages later of which they did not respond to. I opened a case with PayPal and it was resolved within 3 days and I got my money back.
