Okay I''ve done the requisite searches and I haven''t found what I''m looking for... and yet I''m sure it''s out there somewhere either in a thread or a picture LOL

I''d like to see single rows (like in an e-band) of diamonds in 1/2 point, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 points all in one picture preferrably to get a visual difference between the melee sizes. I''ve seen the photo of the woman with different carat rounds on one finger, is there something like that with different point sized diamonds? I haven''t found one but I''d like to narrow down the visual look to decide what size melee I want. Help!

Thanks DeeJay - yeah that won''t work but I appreciate the thought and effort! I think 3point melee is too big but I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the different looks between .005 and .03 I tried doing searches on all sorts of things and I just am not having luck with that. I''m hoping someone who reads this remembers a thread where this was discussed before!

And I''ll add... I *think* I recall Mara''s e-ring being 3pointers and her wedding band being 2 pointers... are there any get together photos of her two rings with a 1 pointer band and maybe a 1.5 or .5 band?

no i don't think there is a picture of my rings with a smaller melee ring...

i will say that the difference between my two rings is miniscule, you wouldn't even know that the melee is not the same size unless you really looked.

also WF sells 1 pointers which could still be considered .007s or .008's so the 1 pointer moniker is not just .01s. my toe rings are made of 1 pointers and the width is 2mm. you can check out pictures of them as well. the stones are pretty tiny.

i think if you went 1 pointers aka a 1.8mm ring or similar vs a 3 pointer aka 2.7mm ring it would be visible, but 2 pointer to 3 pointer is such a tiny difference. if you feel like 3 pointers are too big, get 2 pointers. 1 pointers are too small for me unless you want something super thin. the ritani endless love rings have 1 pointers in them and the bands are under 2mm.

The band is going to be 6 or 6.5mm wide with a row of rounds, a row of baguettes, and a row of rounds... and I have to shove it all into 6mm lol I want the baguettes to be wider than the rows of diamonds... so like 1.5mm of diamonds in two rows and 2mm of baguettes or something like that. I think 1.5 point melee is 1.5mm, I know 1 point will fit but I want to get them bigger... 3 point is too big for sure, I''ve decided that. 2.5 is out... 1 is the smallest I want to go, but of COURSE I want to try to get it closer to 2 without having to have a hugeR band lol I could go up to 6.5 or *maybe* 7 but I dunno... I think 6.5 is my maxmax. I am thinking 1 or 1.5 pointers but I''d really like to seem them as referenced with a few other sizes... oy! BTW I agree that in passing your bands look the same but when you''re inspecting them you can tell... if you''re LOOKING for the difference, you''ll find it, is what I mean. I didn''t notice they were different for a long time.
