eternity ring to solitaire size ratio?

did a search and couldnt find the answer; whats the proper ratio for eternity ring to solitare?

for example, would a 3ct tcw princess shared prong eternity ring overpower a 1.62 radiant solitaire?

I would go try on rings and see what you like.

No rules, but I think smaller diamonds are better so as not to overpower. I have a 1.2ct rb and my eternity has 5pt diamonds.
