Hello,

I am finally starting to look for a wedding band for my fiance.

After many considerations she has finally decided on getting a shared claw eternity band.

Naturally, I am back on pricescope to learn some more. I found alot of help here when I was looking for her engagement ring:

(Dont mind the hair on the knuckle in the first pic... its my hand... just thought i would clarify hehe)

I believe that the we have decided to use .1 - .15 diamonds.

We have gone to several jewellers and have found that the prices really do fluctuate.

My question to you guys is how important is clarity when looking at the stones for an eternity band (given that they are so much smaller)?

I went to one jeweller today which uses F-G and SI grade stones. He said that if I wanted to he could use all SI1/VS2 stones however I would not notice the difference. I went to another jeweller that said quite the opposite. He said that he only uses hand selected SI1 stones and that I would notice the diffrence in terms of how light return/fire.. He also wanted significantly more money.

When it came to getting the Asscher I really did my research and learned about the significance of cut, table/depth proportions. etc...

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting a beautiful eternity band.. As pretty as those rings look in Tiffany & CO I cant justify the money...

Thanks

Check out www.thefacetscollection.com. I have several eternity bands from them and am thrilled not just with their prices but with the cut of their stones as well. HTH, good luck!!!

I bought an 11 stone band from Facets after shopping a couple of stores. The quality of the stones Facets uses outshines anything else I saw, and the price was far below.

I agree with the others. I bought an eternity band from them and it is just gorgeous!

You can also check out the eternity bands from Whiteflash. I have one from there with 3 pointers and I love it! Although you may not be able to see clarity differences in such small diamonds, I strongly believe that cut makes a huge difference! So pay attention to cut more than clarity. I think SI''s a fine for eternity rings.

I also own a facets band. I DO see the difference in SI and VS. I had an eternity band that was just over a carat and SI stones. It did not sparkle much. My band from facets is 2.37ct and VS1 stones and is much sparklier. I think even in the smaller stones you are going for, cut and clarity are important.

I can''t stress enough how much I am pleased with my facets band. And it appraised at just what it was supposed to be.
