Hi,

I purchased a Vatche X-Prong head with the Royal Crown shank for my girlfriend. Basically the sides taper up like the Royal Crown with the X-Prong head so the diamond sits higher. I''m looking at the shared prong eternity bands from Signed Pieces or Whiteflash. So, in your opinion do you think these would look good with this setting? Also, do you think it would look better to have an eternity band on both sides of the setting, or just one eternity band? Next, what ct weight do you think would look best? My last concern is although the diamond is a round Superbcert it is still a K in color. These eternity bands are F-G in color so I''m wondering if that will look tacky. Oh, by the way the center is 1.21 ct. The diamond looks plenty white to me, but next to other diamonds of better color, it might not look as good. I know I have a lot of questions, so thank you for taking the time to read.

Thanks in advance,

Austin

Here''s an example of the ring.

Hi AZRealtor!

The only way to know for sure what you two like for her wedding band is for her to try on different rings. This is easy - just go to a "maul" jewelry store or a B&M jeweler and try on wedding bands!

I think an eternity band would look lovely, so would two eternity bands, I don''t think the F-G eternity stones would look bad with the K superbcert unless you two are color sensitive, and ctw depends on what you like and what you can afford.

Good luck!

here's a pic of seven's "k" with her eternity band of higher color. the cut of your stone will determine how much color you can see and if you can see a difference between the two rings. Those who are sensitive to color might see a difference where others may not. i think the eternity band would look great with your ering. i agree, you should go and see some in person and try them on with
the ering.

I don''t have an x-prong setting but my contour setting is probably as wide as one (it''s 3.5mm). This diamond is H color and it is 1.5ct but faces up more like a 1.25ct b/c it is really deep.

This is a Facets eternity band, 1.07cwt, F-G colored stones. This will give you an idea of size-wise what the two might look like together.

I forgot to add that the eternity band is I believe 2.7mm (have to double check on that).

If you want to see color difference, here''s my 0.72ct J with the same band. Is your stone an ideal cut? If so, it hides more color than a non-ideal cut.

Yes, the diamond is an ideal cut and faces up really white. This is exactly the type of information I am looking for. Thanks so much.
