Due to a limited budget---about $12,000 including trade in of current setting and diamonds---I am considering using WG for my upgraded ring. I really want platinum because I remember reading that engraving on a platinum ring looked better, but because of the cost of platinum, I am worried that we won''t have enough in our tight budget for the cushion cut stone I hope to get and a little bit of prong set side diamonds I would kind of like to get. Have any of you had engraving in WG and how does it compare to the engraving in platinum? My hubby and I have been hit with tight financial times but he doesn''t want to disappoint me and not get my upgrade. He said that later we could improve on the ring. if need be. I am more curious about the overall result and beauty of the ring design. I am willing to compromise and have more engraving and less side diamonds to put more $ aside for the center diamond anyways. Your help is appreciated!
