Engagement ring wear from your wedding band?

Do you think I should be, or has anyone experienced you engagement ring and your wedding band banging together (more so, sitting together) both basically at the same height *mine does not sit flat or flush to my engagement ring, it''s a raised diamond band that sits against the raised part of my engagement ring* do you think it''s going to wear the engagement ring?

Anyone experience this? Am I making any sense here? Not sure!

What are the materials used? Is the girdle of the diamonds extend outside the width of the band?

The main risk is diamonds damaging diamonds if these are worn on both bands, otherwise there shouldn''t be a problem. I wear a raised diamond band which sits against the raised gold band of my e-ring, no problems to date.
