I am pretty sold on the platinum thin French pave ring from James Allen.

Now I just need a diamond to go with it. I am open to round and princess around a carat. My two best options I can find are

And

Speaking with JA, they highly recommend the first because of the table, polish and symmetry. I was drawn to the second just based on appearance, although yes I know it's magnified. I have about $3,000 in my budget for the diamond after the ring. I'd appreciate any advise on the best presentation between these two or any other ideas.

Thanks!

I like the IGI one better, but I'd say the color is a little low, it might be a J.

The symmetry on a princess on paper doesn't matter as much....it could be "good" symmetry and out perform and "ideal" or "very good" symmetry stone...I don't know why they'd recommend that stone over the IGI one, personally I also prefer that one. You should have put it on hold and requested an aset image. Do it for both if you're curious to see the difference.

I'm still leaning towards the IGI one. Should I be concerned about the small table? I obviously want to make the right choice :)

In that case you should pick 3, ask for someone to look them over and compare, and for the ASET images.

Ha, no! Small tables are definitely preferred around here!

I guess JA Sunday customer service isn't the best :)

Is there any reason, given my budget, that this wouldn't be a good ring? Itching to just hit the checkout button and get this over with.

No, wait for the review and comparison of 3 of them, it will take about a week. Be patient and do it right.
