I have already posted here, but I am now looking for both a ring and diamond online. I am trying to stay around $3000 total.

There are three rings that I like (open to other suggestions):
1)one
2)two
3)three

I prefer the first one from Whiteflash, but I feel like the pricing is better at James Allen for diamonds. At the same time, I don''t want to buy the diamond and setting separately. The second choice is pricey for my budget but would allow me to buy the stone and setting from the same place. The third choice is the cheapest, which means I could get a better diamond (and setting also from same place). Any advice or best option here would be appreciated.

For the diamond, I am mainly looking for a great cut in the range of .7 to .75. Color and clarity are less important to me (as long as it is eye clean).

I like option 1 or 2... I like the thinner shanks... have you spoken with WF to their diamond inventory? I''m sure they have some that may not be online yet. I''d give them a call, if thats what you prefer anyways, and see what they come up with for you.

I agree. I also like the thinner shanks. Thanks for the response. I will try giving WF a call.

So I called and they didn''t have anything else. The stone I was looking at (here) is $4-500 more than a comparable stone at James Allen (eg here). Am I missing something?

I really don''t want to purchase the setting and diamond separately but for a difference that big maybe I should? If I did do that would I order the diamond from JA and send it to WF? Would it end up costing about the same with the price of having it set and shipping and (insurance maybe?)?

Ughh. Not enjoying this. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

This should be under your budget with wire-transfer. Non-H&A.

EDT:
With regards to the difference in price, WF's ACA are branded cuts so higher price while JA's are not. JA also never display the hearts image of the stone which is required to qualify as a H&A stone, so not as safe a bet if you are really looking at a H&A stone.

I much prefer the WF setting so I would try and see if you can find a stone from them. I like the way the head (the prongs that hold the center stone) is done.

I like number 2 because of the princess cut stones and i like the price of number 3 and any band will sit flush against it . for the price difference, it doesn''t look much different from the other two so the biggest bang for the buck would be the third.

Thanks for the reply. Will the difference between the H&A that I posted and the non H&A that you posted be noticeable do you think? I want the stone to really sparkle.

No way to know why this stone is not listed as a H&A, maybe the cut or some other thing, but from the ASET and IS image it looks good. Ask WF to take the two stone and compare it side by side?
