Hello,
I am looking into purchasing an engagement ring soon. I need help deciding which center stone to get. This will be somewhat the setting will be with a little custom.

http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/three-stone/3-stone-petite-champagne-diamond-engagement-ring-576.htm

Her ring size is size 5.

I was thinking of these center stones.

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2762667.htm - 0.825 ct E VS1 H&A ($6,619)

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2231005.htm - 0.834 ct F VS2 H&A ($5,625)

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2645106.htm - 0.84 ct D VVS2 Ideal ($7,961)

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2724965.htm - 0.89 ct D VS1 Ideal ($7,303)

So my questions are,

1. Will I see a size difference between the lowest and highest weight? (besides price)
2. Will getting an H&A stone when mounted perform better?
3. Will getting a VVS stone have better light performance?
4. Without price, which would be the ideal pick? (I know people have different views, but just want to know)

Thanks

probably not.

2. Will getting an H&A stone when mounted perform better?

this is debatable but you will likely not see any difference when comparing to 'near' H&A

3. Will getting a VVS stone have better light performance?

no.

4. Without price, which would be the ideal pick? (I know people have different views, but just want to know)

I see no reason not to pick the cheapest one here! Or you could possibly find a larger F/VS2.

Thanks

From this list I would go with the cheaper ACA.

So these are 2 that I like. Either the .834 or the .89.

I know that both are pretty good. But do you think the VS2 is a little bright? Will this show up eye clean? Just wondering. Size wise, there is a little bit difference but not big enough to notice. But the inclusion looks a little big, what are your inputs on these 2 stones?

Thanks

Out of those, I'd go with the F VS2. I don't think you need to worry about it being eyeclean. It looks brighter. Plus it's cheaper.

Of ideal-cut high color/high clarity diamonds, you're not going to find cheaper. If you drop in color, clarity, or cut quality, you can lower the price. Of those, I'd recommend dropping color down to G or H, and keeping clarity at VS2 or Si1. With those colors, your diamond will still look very white, especially with the ideal light performance of these options.

With these Whiteflash diamonds, while they all have H&A, it's not the H&A you're looking for for performance, but ideal light return. When diamonds reflect back out all light that enters them, this makes them sparklier, and when they're sparklier, they look both bigger and whiter.

Within that price range and size range, here are some other options:

0.826 G Si1, $4380 - http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2763660.htm
1.017 H Si1, $7741 - http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2673406.htm
1.023 H Si1, $7787 - http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2724957.htm
