Engagement Loose Diamond - I think this is a good stone??

I''ve been searching around and I found two stones that seem pretty good. They are both the same color, but one is just larger.

Cut: Excellent (the website has GIA stones with Ideal cuts, but I thought they only used EX now?)
Color: F
Clarity: VS2
Depth: 59.6%
Table: 59%
Flour: None
Polish: Very Good
Symmetry: Excellent
Measure: 7.15 x 7.11 x 4.25
Girdle: very thin to medium
This is a huge stone, and it sounds great except for the very thin part. What do you guys think? It''s costing about 8500.

I can''t get the girdle or depth/table, but I attached the cert. This is going for 6800.

Which is a higher quality stone? In my mind they are very similiar, and the larger is more appealing, but I''m no expert. Thanks!

What is the crown and pavilion angles?

Can you list the GIA report numbers with the respective carat weights? Your attachment is not working.

I only have the one GIA report for the second diamond, and the number is 17629813

As for the crown and pavilion angles, I called the place but they''re not in the office until Monday. But on monday I''ll get the angles on it and give it to you asap. Thanks for your quick reply! Is the "very thin - medium" that big of a deal, or is the brilliance more calculated on the crown and pavilion angles?

What is the carat weight of the stone?

Optical performance is due to the table, crown and pavilion angles working together. Very thin girdle will bring down GIA cut grade to a VG instead of Ex. Depending on the extent of the very thin location, it might be a problem during the setting and durability issue in the future, can't really tell, only the vendor can say.

Second is 1.14ct

Get the seller to check the very thin part of the girdle to make sure it isn''t a durability issue, this isn''t always the case but best to check.

Crown Height: 12.5%
Pavilion Angle: 41.2%
Pavilion Depth: 43.5%
Star Length?: 60%
Lower Half: 75%
Girdle: 3%

The lady was just listing a bunch of stuff so I wrote it all down lol.

What do you think?

Number is borderline EX/VG in the cut adviser. Managed to get the GIA report numbers to double check?

No I don''t have any pics. I just thought it would be good because of how big it was. I know size isn''t the most important, but an F VS2 with supposedly Ideal cut at this size seemed great. But are you saying that it probably wouldn''t be that brilliant? I want a good size, but obviously I want it to sparkle like crazy if I''m paying for an Ideal cut. Thanks!

Have you check the GIA reportcheck against the numbers? I would not trust the number they gave you after the mixed up the first time round.
