I recently got engaged! The ring was a total surprise. I had mentioned before that I liked an antique look. The setting is from Whitehouse Brothers. Diamond: 1.25 carats, VVS, E-F, size 5.75. It is absolutely beautiful but I think I am still adjusting to having something so ornate on my hand (I''m kind of a simple girl)! I am not sure what type of band would go well with this ring - just plain platinum or perhaps a delicate eternity band that I can wear on its own? I have been lurking on pricescope for months and thought it would be a great place for advice.

Oh LORDY. That ring is stunning. I mean, STUNNING. Congratulations. I''m in too much of a stunned state to give good advice about a band, but I guess my first idea would be wear it alone and get another band to wear on it''s own? I don''t know. Deer in the headlights.

Congratulations!

HI:

Something very plain...beautiful ring BTW!

cheers--Sharon

I LOVE whitehouse brothers rings - and yours is to die for!!! If you have more pics, please post them - I don''t think anyone has posted a whitehouse bros ring before (or at least that I remember).

Honestly, I think that the best match for your setting is another whitehouse bros. band - I love that they make their wedding bands custom to curve to fit perfectly with your setting. A pretty option would be to go with the plain filigree rather than filigree and diamonds.

Here''s a link: Whitehouse Bros. Wedding bands

Congrats on your engagement!!

CONGRATS on your engagement...your ring is incredible! It''s different, it''s delicate, it''s blingy...it''s WOW! I love that it was a surprise, too! He did well!!!!!
Custom curved with the same carving or pave would look great...or a simple, thin eternity would be gorgeous. Just NOTHING to take away from your beautiful ring. I''d have no trouble getting used to that!

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions!

I think the Whithouse Brother''s mathcing band would be a great option - thanks for te link. Do you think you can wear that type of band on its own or would it look incomplete without the engagement ring? These pics are a little blurry - not so great with the camera.
