Hello everyone

I am new to the site and have been trying to read as much as I can, from the wealth of knowledge on this site. I am looking for an engagement ring; she really liked the 1 carat ideal cut round solitaire from Kay’s. My budget is $4000 is it attainable to get an ideal cut round between .9-1.0 carat? What about the diamond being eye clean has anyone had experience in asking this question and the vendor come back and say no it’s not eye clean or do they always say it is eye clean? Not trying to offend anyone just a big step for me to purchase online. If there is anyone out there that could help me find a diamond that meets this criteria I would really appreciate it.

Yes it is possible you could get something of similar size for the budget, is that to include the setting or just the diamond? As to whether a diamond is eyeclean or not, it is important to tell the vendor your expectations. For example, if you don't want to see any visible inclusions from any angle at close scrutiny, make sure you tell them that so you are both on the same page.

Here is one but it is almost 4k, so important to know if the budget includes the setting or not

Thank you Lorelei for your response I can go more with the setting. Just trying to stay close to that price. Its more important to me that it is eye clean.

Lorelei picked you some nice stones. I really like the two GOG stones. Yes, if you ask them if they are eyeclean (by your standards) and they are not, they will definitely tell you. The J is almost certain to be, but the G could be also. Both nice!

Some non-H&A stones to consider. Check for eye-clean and request an Idealscope image from JA if you are interested.

1.02c H SI1, Strong Blue fluor, if you have no preference against it, check with JA to make sure that it does not appear oily/hazy in normal viewing conditions with UV source, only a small number do.

What type of flaw is that in the center?
Would it be visible by the eye?
 
It looks great - the IS image. As to the flaw, the only way to know what it is and if it would be visible in reality is to ask the vendor.
