Choice between 1.25 Eightstar and 1.50 GIa excellent cut. Will the normal person see a difference in sparkle? .25 CT difference? Price 2k less on Eightstar (because of trade in policy) Thank you!

You've given no information on the GIA stone other than the carat.

Let me know what you need!

you'll want to provide us the following on each diamond so we can give our opinions:

color
clarity
size in mm
table %
depth %
pavilion angle
crown angle

but to answer part of your Q, you will definitely notice a size difference in a .25ct difference

Yes

Could you also post the report numbers for each or a link to the reports too please?

The Eightstar is I color, SI1 and that's all I know. The GIA is G color, SI1, 7.30 x 7.35 x 4.59mm. Table 59%, depth 62.7%, pavilion 41.4% crown 35%

It's kind of like asking- "What's better- pizza, or spaghetti?"
Really depends on the spaghetti and the pizza in question.

Honestly it's hard to provide any meaningful advice with so little information.

Imagine having to choose between 2 cars when you know this:

Car A: A brand new, cobalt blue, 2018 Honda Accord EX-L with leather interior.
Car B: It's red.

How can one make an informed choice with such asymmetrical information?

The GIA stone is not well cut. There are better options. How much are they?

I am trying to get the information on the 1.25 diamond. I didn't know if the brand was well known enough to be able to compare with (I am just looking for sparkle) the 1.50 diamond I did have all the info on.

Eightstars sacrifice sparkle for brightness--if the light is coming and going, it's not on all the time.

Do you like your Eightstar?

I do, just looking for a bit more size now that my lifestyle has changed.

The eight star is depth 60.7, table 54.2, crown angle 34.5, pavilion angle 40.6, pavilion depth 42.7.
7.03mm diameter
strong fluorescence

The 8 star is better cut. Do you want strong fluorescence though?

I have no idea! Is it going to look blue in sunlight?
