In the trade, EGL grades are not considered when pricing stones- only GIA grades.
That's because there's no set difference between EGL and GIA.
A big problem in the diamond business today is sellers that represent stones graded by EGL as if the grades were equivalent to GIA.
IMO it's incumbent on sellers to inform buyers about the differences in gem labs...but it's just not happening that way all too often
