EGL Cert Expiration

Oops one more question. One stone I saw today had an EGL cert that was expiring. I didn''t realize certs could expire. Is that because the owner of the stone wants to go back for another certification hoping for a better grade?

I''m confused. Should I now ask when certs expire?

EGL offers a lot of different services... If you saw an expiration date, then most probably the stone had a pregrading report... It's the less expensive possibility... If you're happy with the results, you pay the difference and get a full repot, otherwise you keep the pregrading results or ask for a consultation...
